Dr. Zimmer and his staff have created an atmosphere of gentle and comforting care for all patients. The office is intimate, relaxed and stress free, helping patients to relieve anxiety. To support those patients with asthma, allergies, and chemical sensitivities, the office is fragrance free. All of this contributes to a higher standard of healthcare for the patient as a whole.
What sets our office apart from many other dental practices is our commitment to practicing biosafe dentistry. One important aspect of this is "mercury free" or "mercury safe" dentistry. Due to the growing research revealing that the mercury content in amalgam ("silver") fillings could have a negative affect on a person's over-all health, Dr. Zimmer and his experienced staff practice mercury safe dentistry. This means we adhere to a specific protocol for safe amalgam removal that protects the patient from mercury vapor and residue during the removal process. Dr. Zimmer abandoned the use of mercury/silver amalgam fillings over 15 years ago.
